How To Work Smarter In Your Tattoo Business

How to work smarter in you tattoo business and achieve success as a tattoo artist. By now you are probably back hard at work in your Tattoo Business.  To help you get your head around all the things you would like to do and achieve in your business, I thought I’d reveal my Business Guru’s BIG secrets of …

How to get a lot done FAST!…

or more importantly, how to get a lot of the RIGHT stuff done fast. You see there's no success or failure in anything, whether it's work, business, school, university, health, diet and exercise or relationships.  It all comes down to: CHOICE and BEHAVIOUR.
Here are some tips – in no particular order…

  • Start today – start NOW.
  • Instead of trying to do a hundred things well, isolate between 5 and 10 things and treat all of them with the same level of urgency.  (The rest of your ‘hundred things’ is really just a ‘pile of stuff’ that sucks up your time and energy – this is the filing pile you re-visit some months later to find it took care of itself and was never really worthy of your attention).
  • Begin with the end in mind and know where you’re going.
  • Perfection leads to paralysis: just do it because it’ll never be perfect anyway.
  • Don't make other people’s problems yours: you’ll just get distracted.
  • Delegate as much as you can: to people who are more qualified to get the task done.
  • Work on what is most important and urgent (or profitable first).
  • Ruthlessly protect your time from time vampires.
  • Don’t touch your emails: This allows other people’s problems to become yours and hijacks your day’s planned achievements. At tops, check it once or twice per day. Wean yourself off if need be.
  • Environment – Isolate yourself.
  • Uninterrupted time – take no unscheduled calls.
  • Gather resources, people and information or knowledge.
  • Allocate time in blocks accordingly to each task – work fast in small chunks.

I hope this helps in some small way, so good luck with your ‘to-do’ lists and goal setting for the year ahead and for working smarter in your tattoo business.
